The American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) defines Orthodontists as "qualified dentists, who after graduating from dental school, go on to additional full-time university-based education in an accredited orthodontic residency program supervised by orthodontists. That training lasts at least two academic years—sometimes more. By learning about tooth movement (orthodontics) and guidance of facial development (dentofacial orthopedics), orthodontists are the uniquely trained experts in dentistry to straighten teeth and align jaws."
Just as you would choose a medical specialist, an Orthodontist is the best choice for issues with alignment. Our practice is limited to this speciality to ensure you recieve the optimum result with minimal discomfort.
KIDS
The American Association of Orthodontists suggests that every child should have an orthodontic screening by age 7. We strive to treat our patients without removing permanent teeth. This is best accomplished if seen at a young age when "baby" teeth are still present.
TEENS/ADULTS
Many teens and adults are taking advantage of recent advances in treatment such as clear/invisible braces, invisalign removable trays, and the Damon system of alignment. Today's treatment options have come a long way.
